Cycling up Castle Creek Road from Aspen for lunch at the Cookhouse is one of the locals' favorite road rides, while the forest roads over the surrounding high passes offer unlimited mountain biking. The riffles and beaver ponds of upper Castle Creek offer Gold Medal trout fishing. Photographers often dot the roads around Ashcroft busy capturing the flowers, wildlife and mountain scenery so abundant in the area.
